Friday Favorites

I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.

  • When Dani Shapiro posts a piece on her website, I immediately read her work. Her essay, On What People Think, is quite simply, wisdom. She asks these poignant questions which are worth contemplating: “Isn’t it all any of us really want? To understand and to be understood? To bear witness to all of it – the good, the bad and the ugly? The real?”
  • New York Times Modern Love posts insightful essay on love. This week Alisha Gorder discusses how flowers play a crucial part in our lives through joy and sadness. One Bouquet of Fleeting Beauty, Please is beautiful and comforting.

What pieces made an impact on you this week?
