I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- My husband is a huge fan of podcasts. I am developing a love for them too. Here is Brain Picking’s Nine Podcasts for a Fuller Life. It’s a great place to decide which podcast series will become your fave.
- I discovered this Rolling Stones interview with Prince (I am still in denial). It’s well worth the read.
- A Writer’s Solitude vs. AWP: On What We Share With Others by the recent Pulitzer Prize winner, Viet Thanh Nguyen, discusses the writer’s yearning for solitude and the need for an audience. h/t Dani Shapiro
- I’ve taken several of Jena Schwartz’s online classes and love how her prompts encourage free writing and creativity. For the first time since high school, I wrote my first poem via her class, Dive Into Poetry. This past week I was thrilled to write for her Roar Sessions Series. If you are looking for a way to further your writing and creative practice, Jena will help you find the way.
